***Be sure to check our advertisements for the correct location, either the OLT Theatre or the newly renovated Delta Grand Theatre, because shows will happen at both theatres.***
Showcase 2010 January 2010 (Location: OLT Theatre)
What a way to start the new year off by getting a preview of the wonderful talent this community has to offer. If it is new, you know it's OLT Showcase!
Jekyll and Hyde
March 2010 (Location: Delta Grand Theatre)
“Jekyll & Hyde” concerns a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father’s mental illness lies in the separation of Man’s evil nature from his good, Dr. Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashed his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19-century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde.
Beauty and the Beast Into The Woods
July 2010 (Location: Delta Grand Theatre)
Sadly the OLT was not able to obtain the right to perform Beauty and the Beast because the touring company is planning to add more dates to their tour. We moved Beauty and the Beast to next summer and this summer we are doing Into The Woods. A wonderful story that combines all of the familiar fairy tale characters we all know (Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, & Rupenzel to name a few.).
Our Town
September 2010 (Location: Delta Grand Theatre)
Written by Thorton Wilder, Our Town explores the lives of people living in a small, quintessentially American town.
Of Mice And Men
September 10, 2010 (Location: JPMAC Center, New Roads, LA)
The OLT is travling with its 2009 season show Of Mice And Men. This is a huge opportunity for us to display our work in different venues and to different audiences. If you'd like to support the OLT and see our show in New Roads call Dana Reed for more information: 337-351-2591.
The Lion in Winter
November 2010 (Location: Delta Grand Theatre)
Set over Christmas of 1183, this classic royal costume dramas concerns Henry II's effort to choose a worthy successor.
Jacob Marley's A Christmas Carol
December 2010 (Location: OLT Theatre)
This is a non-season show and will not be covered under your normal season ticket.
So begins the real story behind Dickens' A Christmas Carol—the story of Jacob Marley's heroic behind-the-scenes efforts to save old Scrooge's soul—and in the process, save his own. Aided by a Bogle, a malicious little hell-sprite with an agenda of his own, their hilarious journey takes them from the Jaws of Death to the Mouth of Hell—and beyond!
Season tickets are available for $40, this includes admission into five productions. All seats are $10.00 and are available at:
Sebastien~Dupre Fine Jewellery 822 South Main Street Opelousas, LA 70570 337-948-4367
